In Conclusion:

Some may wonder at my reason for writing these Articles. First, I have written as the Spirit has led; it has not been for personal recognition or fame.  If there be any praise due then let it be unto God who alone is worthy of praise. Second, it is not because I am desirous of, or have any political ambitions; for the spirit of politics is the love of power and not the power of love; and the freedom to be an ordinary citizen in His service is a far greater honor than any stature man could bestow upon me. In closing, I would like to use the words of Andrew Jackson, as they are found in his Veto of the Bank Bill, written in 1832:

"I have now done my duty to my country. If sustained by my fellow-citizens, I will be grateful and happy; if not I shall find in the motives which impel me ample grounds for contentment and peace. In the difficulties which surround us and the dangers which threaten our institutions there is cause for neither dismay nor alarm. For relief and deliverance let us firmly rely on that kind Providence which I am sure watches with peculiar care over the destinies of our Republic, and on the intelligence and wisdom of our countrymen. Through His abundant goodness and their patriotic devotion our liberty and Union will be preserved."  - james

There will be those who will try to delay the passage of some of the Articles in hopes of personal and/or political gain or advantage on behalf of themselves or major political contributors by en-acting Article - 1 first.

Future Thoughts:
Of late, a great deal of discussion has taken place concerning the family: family values, marriage between a man and a woman, marriage penalty tax, etc.. What appears to have escaped the discussions is the tremendous negative impact placed upon families caused by the millions of lost family supporting jobs in the American work place. Even within the best of families the loss of the primary income supporting the family can create havoc and bring a great deal of despair and disharmony to the family.

The following is not presented as an amendment proposal (at least not at this time) and could be easily adapted as a part of federal law, or practice.

To obtain a better look at the real state of the American economy and the real effects that Government actions and policies force upon the People, the following information should be obtained and made public in a simplified form at the time someone signs up for un-employment and/or when they leave un-employment for whatever reason:

1. The rate of pay received before un-employment and the rate of pay after un-employment, and the numbers of those who have exhausted their un-employment eligibility without re-employment.

2. A list of employer/employee related benefits received before un-employment: health insurance, life insurance, retirement, vacations, etc. and a list of benefits after un-employment.

3. The number of dependent family members that had received employer/employee related benefits and the types of benefits, such as life, health, vision, or dental insurance, before un-employment and the number receiving those benefits (along with the source and type of) after un-employment.

4.  The un-employed, or number of dependent  family members of the un-employed that required assistance from any  government, or private assistance agencies before un-employment, such as housing assistance, utility bills assistance, food, health care, day care, etc. and those same numbers and members after un-employment.

5.  Also, when the figures for the “new” jobs created are reported it should show how many job were full time benefits paying employer/employee type jobs and not just temp-to-hire employment services jobs.

High spirits on Wall Street can often brings despair on Main Street. Example: When two big banks or companies merge, the stock of each might rise in the short term.  However, thousands that may lose their jobs as a result of the merger, will find no reason to celebrate.

From time to time the words “recession” and “depression” become a matter of debate as to which of the two describe our national state. To me the word “recession” brings to mind that period of time at school (recess) when we would break from our studies (labor) and enjoy a time of fun and games. While the word “depression” brings to mind an experience that had left me feeling helpless, a situation from which only God was able to free me from. For our millions who are unemployed, or underemployed, their “recess”-ion is not a time of enjoyment. But, with God’s help and your support of Article - 3 proposal, many will find their “depression” lifted.

Something Old - Nothing New

“We have lived to witness one of the most extraordinary paradoxes that

have ever puzzled the world: General poverty produced by universal

plenty! The earth has been sick of a plethora, and her bowels have burst

with their abundance, and yet distress and want were never so universal.”

Hannah More: Village Politics – 1793
